Spotify is an interesting music service – but few indie artists

Less people download music illegaly, figures showed this week. The reason: more legal ways of listening to musik is introduced. One of the interesting projects is Spotify.
Spotify has for a long time been in a betaversion which you neeed an personal invite for using. Now Spotify is realeased for everyone, but not for free. The free version still demands that you have an invite.

The pay version gives you a lot of music to listen to, steaming in your computer. The free version has ads between the tracks.

But still, for a music lover devoted to indie and alternative music you will not find everything you want to listen to with Spotify. For example: I want to listen to Bon Iver. Spotify could not find one song with him. I tried to get any track with Thalia Zedek. Nope.

  4. Bon Iver’s on Spotify now, but tons of other stuff is gone. The Shins, Iron & Wine and Chromeo to mention some unforgivable omissions.
